MY STORY

Hairstylist turned Pig Farmer

Copper Lillie Acres started as a property my husband and I purchased back in 2015 to get out of the chaos of living in a loud city. We were going back to our roots of a small-town community as we are both originally from small towns. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would become a farmer, you see I am a retired hairdresser by trade.

We weren't quite sure what we wanted to do so of course we went through the options. On the farm, we have had: Ducks, goats, meat and egg chickens, sheep, rabbits, turkeys, and pigs. Never quite finding that perfect fit. I started raising Kune-Kune pig crosses and liked those but again wasn't 100% happy with that breed. Which led me to Idaho Pasture Pigs.

I have raised IPP's for customers for 3 years now and don't plan on changing anytime soon.
